KABUL (Pajhwok): A working group is set to submit its findings regarding women’s cricket in Afghanistan to the ICC board, says a news report.
The ICC has tasked the working group with investigating the situation of women’s cricket in Afghanistan and submitting its findings.
Chaired by Imran Khwaja of Australia, the working group was formed in November last year after the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan.
Having interviewed past and present officials, the group has been closely monitoring developments at the Afghanistan Cricket Board.
Ross McCollum (Ireland), Ramiz Raja (Pakistan) and Lawson Naidoo (South Africa) are part of the working group.
On April 10, the working group would share its findings with the ICC board, reported ESPNcricinfo — a cricket news website.
