KABUL (Pajhwok): Acting Government late on Friday announced Saturday as the first day of the holy month of Ramazan after moon sighted in Saudi Arabia.
Earlier, Saudi Arabia Supreme Court said moon was sighted in the Sadir area of Saudi Arabia and declared Saturday as the first day of the holy month of Ramazan.
Afghan acting Government Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid late on Friday on his twitter handle wrote that Saturday will be the first day of the holy month of Ramazan in Afghanistan.
UAE, Qatar, Palestine and some other Muslim nations also observes Saturday as the first day of Ramazan.
