KABUL (Pajhwok): The United States has pledged to provide one million additional does of the Covid-19 vaccine though COVAX.
US Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas West tweeted: “The United States has offered the people of Afghanistan one million additional Covid-19 vaccine doses …”
He wrote: “Bringing our total to 4.3 million doses and adding to $474m in US humanitarian assistance for Afghanistan this year. We stand with the Afghan people.”
Prior to the fall of the previous government, the US had provided 3.3 million doses of Covid vaccine to Afghanistan.
