Karzai hails cordial Afghan-Iranian relations

KABUL (Pajhwok): Ex-president Hamid Karzai has commended Iran’s productive role in maintaining cordial relations with Afghanistan.

At a meeting with Iranian Ambassador Bahador Aminian, the erstwhile president also praised cooperative ties between the neighbours.

A statement from his office said, Karzai held talks with Aminian in Kabul on Monday. They conferred on the current state of Afghan-Iran relations.

In contact with all Afghan parties, Iran has been pursuing a clear policy toward Afghanistan and supporting peace and prosperity in the war-hit country.
