PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Russian President Vladimir Putin and Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan are all set to hold a summit in Moscow today (Thursday).
In response to Putin’s invitation, Khan is currently in Moscow on a two-day official trip. He is the first Pakistani premier to visit Russia in more than 20 years.
Apart from bilateral cooperation, the two leaders would exchange views on regional issues, including Afghanistan, the Foreign Office in Islamabad says.
Putin and Khan would share views on current regional topics, including the situation in South Asia, said a spokesman for the Kremlin.
On Wednesday, Khan landed in Moscow at the head of a high-level delegation. He was accorded a warm welcome from Russian officials.
Khan is accompanied by ministers of foreign affairs, information and planning, as well as commerce advisor and national security advisor.
The two leaders would review the entire spectrum of bilateral relations, including energy cooperation, the Foreign Office said.
