India-donated Covid vaccine reaches Kabul today
KABUL (Pajhwok): India has promised providing Afghanistan with a million doses of Covid-19 vaccine, CNN reported on Saturday.
The first shipment of the vaccine containing 500,000 doses of the vaccine would reach Kabul via Iran today (Saturday), an Indian official told CNN.
It is the first time India has donated COVID-19 vaccines to the war-torn country following the Taliban’s takeover in mid-August.
A second consignment, comprising the same number of jabs, would be handed over to Kabul in the second week of January, the official added.
