Resistance Front leader in Tajikistan, says aide
KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghan National Resistance Front leader Ahmad Massoud is currently in Tajikistan, a close aide said on Monday.
Deputy Governor of Panjsher Kabir Wasik told a Russian media outlet: “Ahmad Massoud is in Tajikistan, but sometimes he visits Afghanistan to meet resistance units.”
TASS news agency quoted Wasik as saying Massoud was attempting to muster support from different countries against the Taliban.
The resistance front enjoyed cordial relations with Tajikistan, which had been lending considerable “assistance to the Afghan people in the fight against the Taliban”.
