Meteorological Dept predicts heavy snow, rainfall in southeast

KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan Meteorological Department has predicted heavy rainfall, snowfall and the possibility of flash food in some part of the country, according to a statement on Friday.

AMD said there is more chances of rain and snowfall in Khost, Paktia, Logar, Nangarhar, Laghman, Panjshir, Nuristan, Kunar and Badakhshan provinces on January 7 and 8.

Up to 30mim rain and 30cm snowfall is expected according to the AMD. There would be chances of flash flood in some areas, the statement said.
