Afghanistan’s exports to Iran this year put at $800m.
KABUL (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) on Monday put the value of imports from Iran so far during the current year at one billion dollars.
Younis Mohmand, deputy director of ACCI, told reporters in Kabul that Afghanistan’s exports to Iran stood at 800 million dollars.
Major exports to Iran included precious stones, dried fruits, hides, apricots and other fresh fruits, the ACCI official said.
Imports from the neighbouring country include electrical appliances, raw materials, petroleum products and food items.
He went on to claim Afghanistan had been connected with Central and South Asia. Afghan traders can freely take their goods to Pakistani ports.
