KABUL (Pajhwok): Afghanistan will import food and fuel from Russia under an agreement signed between the two sides.
A private TV channel reported the accord had been inked between the Afghanistan Chamber of Commerce and Investment (ACCI) and the Russian Federation’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
ACCI head Mohammad Younus Momand visited St Petersburg last week to discuss bilateral trade cooperation between Afghanistan and Russia, TOLOnews reported.
Momand was quoted as saying: “There is a need to have an agreement between the government so Russia can provide us with two things we need: fuel and food.”
