PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): Afghan businessmen have called for the immediate resolution of issues they face at Durand Line crossings.
An Afghan delegation, led by Pak-Afghan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PAJCCI) Co-Chairman Khan Jan Alkozai, issued the call on Wednesday.
On their arrival in Torkham, the Afghan businessmen were warmly received by PAJCCI Vice-President Zia Sarhadi.
The Afghan delegates are scheduled to attend the 8th meeting of the Focus Group in Islamabad.
Alkozai commended PAJCCI efforts for the previous meeting that had led to the resolution of several issues. He hoped more problems would be addressed this time.
The delegation visited the Customs House at Torkham and discussed matters of importance with Assistant Director Muhammad Tayyab.
The visiting team also visited the Customs Headquarters in Peshawar, where they were received by Director Transit Arbab Qaiser Hamid.
Alkozai said PAJCCI always tried to come up with strategies for enhanced bilateral and transit trade between the two countries.
