KABUL (Pajhwok): The Extended Troika is set to meet in china on the current situation in Afghanistan, including the ongoing humanitarian situation.
Special envoys from China, the United States, Russia and Pakistan are convening separately from the foreign ministers of other countries.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Wang Wenbin called China, the US, Russia and Pakistan countries having influence on the Afghan issue.
Xinhua news agency reported on Thursday the huddle would echo positively with the third meeting of foreign ministers of Afghanistan’s neighbours.
The talks are expected to help cement consensus among all parties on helping Afghanistan achieve peace, stability and development.
According to the State Department, Special Representative Tom West will represent the United States at the Extended Troika talks, the State Department said.
