PESHAWAR (Pajhwok): The Afghanistan-Pakistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (APJCCI) has welcomed permission for the free movement of cargo trucks between the two countries.
APJCCI Vice-President Ziaul Haq Sarhadi, addressing a meeting here on Friday, hoped the decision on free movement of trucks would promote trade between the neighbours.
The decision will help resolve difficulties faced by the business community of both the countries by shifting goods from one vehicle to another after crossing the Durand Line.
Sarhadi believed the step would pave the ground for the promotion of businesses not only in the two countries but in the entire region, including Central Asian republics.
