Hanafi vows creation of enabling investment climate

KABUL (Pakistan): Deputy Prime Minister Abdul Salam Hanafi has promised creating a favourable environment for foreign investments in Afghanistan.

Hanafi met a joint delegation of Afghan and Russian investors at his office here on Monday, Deputy Minister of Information Zabihullah Mujahid tweeted.

The participants discussed oil and gas extraction, creation of special refineries and putting in place systems of extracting compressed and liquefied natural gas.

Mujahid, who is also spokesman for the Taliban, wrote efforts for establishing a cement-producing plant also came up for discussion at the meeting.

Hanafi said the conditions and corresponding infrastructure would be created for investors in the war-torn country.
