KABUL (Pajhwok): The challenges facing Afghan refugees in Iran and Pakistan will be discussed at a high-level meeting next month.
The Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation said on Wednesday the four-way talks would be attended by officials from Kabul, Tehran, Islamabad and UNHCR.
The quadrilateral session would be followed by tripartite meetings among Afghanistan, Iran and the UN refugee agency, the ministry added.
A spokesman for the ministry said the meetings were aimed to deal with the problems of the Afghan refugees in the two countries.
A procedure for the Afghans living in Iran and Pakistan without registration would also come up for discussion, the official explained.
Following reports regarding the harassment of Afghan refugees in Iran, the Afghans have held angry protests in in several provinces.
